brother lives right there on Ft McComb road (Bayou Sauvage & Chef Pass) and said he heard some shots early...but that was it...

My 10yr old son got his 1st deer this evening while we were in Woodville . It’s a pretty 5 point. He is super excited and so am I. He killed it with a 3030 he bought with his grass cutting money. I’m a proud papa

Side note I'm still shooting my elk arrows...and it absolutely destroyed this little spike

Went through right scapulae, right lung, tore the heart in half (one side was mangled mush) and out front chest full pass through. Blood trail was like walking down a highway. cups of blood full every 5-10' for 30-40 yds to where he crashed. I think he crashed and died there within 1-2 min of being shot

I’m not sure I would change a thing if I were you.

Mine was quartering to me and was pleased with the results. Didn’t have the amount of blood it sounds like you had but I was very easily able to follow it.

Where I found him, it looked like he entered some briars and 180 to watch his trail.
