Big country are you hunting public to private land? How big of an area? Year after year you’re after them

Family land 10 minutes from my house. 1100 woods and even more cane field. Either 15 or 1700, but it’s leased out to a big farmer.

I make a couple work weekends with the in-laws that hunt in Fayette and get an easy hunt every now and then, but it’s hard to hunt anywhere but here when it’s “free”.

I’m old enough now that I’m getting more say so of what goes on in the club. It’ll never be easy hunting due to the terrain, and we may take a younger buck here and there to say we’re killing, but since I’ve been in on decisions the last few years, the quality in deer has gone up.

Basically, I couldn’t care less for a grown arse man that can’t tell a spike from a rack every damn time. No use to me.

Hard to get all that meat you claim you’re starving for on 80 lb deer

I’m all for filing the freezer (obviously). I ain’t 300 lbs for nothing. But at least try and mix it up a bit.
