chicken tastes better than quail, but overpaying to shoot a smaller bird with less meat is more of a waste of time than sportsmanship. it looks like a way for old arse men with low testosterone levels to feel more "manly" or they hate their wives.

That's a hell of a stretch right there.

You sound like a pussy. If a man wants a simulated quail hunting experience and the time/money to do, why does it matter if those birds aren't indigenous to his area? I don't like how they picked the bird up and threw it, but all domesticated birds don't do that.

they would turn out better if you just slit their throats. i can't stand biting down on a pellet that i accidentally missed.

some places just don't have quail.

Simple solution here is to go someplace that does have quail.

I dont buy deer and put them in my back yard to shoot.

They should just buy quail from the store and shoot skeet.

Ironically, I was driving to work today, wondering how practical it would be to farm venison.

Well, that's the problem. There are very few quail left in the south. Fire ant, coons, coyotes, etc have pretty much wiped them out.

There's nothing wrong with putting out bird to hunt if you don't want to or have the means to travel to where they are.
