Is there any chance this buck scores 150 without brow tines?

For context, I’m zoomed in pretty good on the new iPhone(damn these things can zoom).

And I don’t think it has brow tines. Another gentleman had binoculars on him a couple days ago and said he didn’t notice any either.

I don't think he's anywhere close to 150", Very nice deer for sure but 135' at the most.

No, not without brow tines. If he had matching 4-5” brows he would be in the neighborhood. But as is, I would guess 135-140”. A very nice deer either way.

This year, yes.

Family has some private land where we just follow state rules but some is part of a hunting club where this buck would need to be 155 with brow tines, and 150 without.

I don’t believe he’s in the 50’s. Keep in mind he’s giving you the “big eye” from behind. Makes em all look much bigger.

The clubs and properties that I’ve heard about requiring something like 150”, also have a waiver for the buck if he’s 5+ years old. Seems fair. The idea being to shoot mature deer. Even on the best properties and best dirt in the Deep South, a 150”+ is rare.

You need to ground check that big boy. I couldn’t hunt where he wasn’t a shooter.

Without brows, I think he’s gonna be short of the mark. Great buck, though. My guesses… (at first blush, he looked a little bigger)

44” for main beams
16” for 2s
20” for 3s
8” for 4s
18” for spread
32” for circs = 138”

Nah, he’s 140 or so.

That being said, a lot of clubs that have a 150” rule waive it if they’re 5.5 yrs old and/or never developed brow tines.
