I like the platform in the gulf idea. Would definitely do that. Huge spreads in Texas, Montana, Colorado and Alaska. Something in the keys, a place in Costa Rica. And of course a nice camp and some land in the Dulac area.

I'd definitely want a camp in Alaska on a remote lake with my own float plant and learning to fly it would be mandatory. This would be a nice accessory for the plane to take it down to warmer climes in the winter.

I would buy enough land to push me off the top of the Forbes list.

But wouldn't the land still be calculated into your net worth ? Do you should stay on top the list

FYI- LINK

quote:

For the second year in a row, Ted Turner take top honors as America’s largest landowner with more than a dozen properties totaling more than 2 million acres.

Add to this more than 100,000 acres in Argentina, where he owns two estancias in Patagonia and one in Tierra del Fuego, and the media mogul’s holdings are an empire unto to themselves, ranking larger than 48th state, Delaware.

You could buy a golf course like Willie Nelson. Par is whatever he wants it to be.

I played golf on a nine hole course designed by Pete Dye in Wyoming. It was on a private ranch, not sure how many acres but thousands. They had killed elk, moose, black bear, antelope, mule deer, and had a great trout stream all on the ranch. Not sure if it's for sale but if Bill Gates wanted it he would get it I'm sure.

It would be a good start.
