So, you've been married almost 30 years and have a 6 yr. old daughter.

Damn dude, you're going to look like grandpa at her high school graduation.

That little one is either going to keep you feeling young, or make you feel your age. Hope it's the first option.

Yes, I had a massive brain fart and saw a post where someone has a 6 yr. old that wants a horse and got the 2 combined.

Such is my life at my age where CRS strikes at inopportune times and I insert my foot in my mouth.

Neighbor at my farm raises and trains horses. He has one that’s a 3 time world champion walking horse.
He’s actually buddies with Devin White.

I bet he’d sell you one

I’ve got a Billy Cook and an English saddle if you’d be interested. They’re both in good condition and stored in the air condition. The bit on the western needs a little cleaning but neither are messed up or damaged in anyway other than from normal use.

If you’re interested, let me know and we can figure out a way to get them to you. Merry Christmas baw.

You can lease a horse if you look around. I’d do everything I could to not buy one. Some barns look for people to ride them. My daughter rode barrels and jumped from 6-16 years old. She’s graduated college now and I’ve still got two expensive goats basically. Thousands of dollars in saddles, $3000 for surgery for one horse that still died, an arena, feed, hay, horse trailer, farrier… I can keep going. Can’t leave home without finding someone to feed them twice a day. Take it from a horse owner of 20 years, explore any and all possibilities before you buy one.
Feed, hay, farrier, vet vaccines run cost per horse up around $ 250-300/month.

Just go to auction with a trailer, but leave it unlocked and walk away. Do that a few times and you will eventually leave with a free horse.

When was the last time you were at a sale? Kill horses are selling for top dollar right now. I was buying them for a while trying to find a diamond in the rough and wife got tired of it. Starting picking up some other here and there and flanking them to see if they’d buck and make decent practice horses. A year ago it was 200 dollars. Now some older kill horses are going for 8-900 a head. Livestock market is crazy right now

I’ll get some pictures of the serial number and you can authenticate it with them if you’d like. It’s real, though. I’m also going to hit the silver with some polish where there’s a little tarnish, but that’ll buff right out. It’s 15.5”

I guess ya know what these go for. If you want to get it authenticated and throw out a number, anything reasonable and you can have it.

Orrrr…….

Put me on one of those nice cull 8pts with my bow ya got up there over Christmas for free delivery and a complimentary fence post after we get it caped out. If it tests negative for CWD, I’ll throw in the English saddle and a little bugle for when y’all are runnin’ dogs..

You frickers are either very well off or I am just crazy cheap because I would have to be pulling in half a mil to even contemplate getting all that shite.

Times are tough, beef prices are high, and ammunition is scarce. Meat is meat out here in the country baw. Still cheaper than beef.

I’m not gonna lie, that looks like an awesome time. Listening to my family’s stories of dog hunting years back certainly made it sound entertaining.

I can absolutely understand why it became less acceptable over the years, but everyone tells me it was the most thrilling hunting a man can do.

There's a lady in North Texas who has draft horse crosses that are very safe hunter and jumpers.

I think it is Cloudline Sport Horses.

English riding horses are high priced right now.
