$1800 tops its 16 years old any way you look at it. Electronics breakdown over that time running or not(not it even worse than running) is gonna be an issue shortly if you start using it more and more.

From a resale perspective,it's not a good deal, because most people like something better looking. These are not good looking machines, they are not high powered mud sling monsters, just tough as a tank. I will HAVE TO WORK ON IT forever.

Same here.
NADA has a 2002 Suzuki King Quad average retail price of $1410...just FYI

yeah,it's top dollar. It's top grade though.

Offer $1500 maybe go up to $1800 max. It is after season so could get a new rancher for $5K or so.

What could you sell it for tomorrow? if you couldn't make 1000-1500 then it's not the deal of a month, much less a lifetime. Sounds like it's just a make/model you have a hard on for.

Welp, I guess I jinxed my self posting here. One of The man''s Neighbors bought it before my wife could go over there.
Absolutely. I have a Yamaha Timberwolf 350 4 wheel drive. It's a good 4 wheeler, but it doesn't have 1/2 the capabilities That the Old King Quads have, especially for climbing on steep rocky stuff.
The old style King quads creep over that stuff.
I live at the foot of some fair sized mountains and hills. So I would really have liked to have gotten that 1.

Well, I had to drive to San Antonio, that's where I am now.

I’d only pay 1500. 16 years old, will need some work...new battery, plugs, possible new carburetor, tires from dry rot, etc. What does she have to lose, wasn’t her money

I'd jump on it if I were you.

I looked at it and rode it Monday, but I had to drive to San Antonio,so I didn't have time to run by the bank. The thing was perfect. My wife was going to run by there and pay for it,but the neighbor got there first.
I'll keep looking for another one,but I won't ever find another one that nice.

Thing I don’t like about Suzuki’s is crappy dealers in my area and parts can be hard to find or even obsolete with age sometimes
You may know this already, but Arctic Cat used Suzuki power trains on their early models, and Arctic Cat Dealers stock a lot of parts (it's required to become a dealer). Arctic Cat drivline parts will work on corresponding Suzuki Models, except for the front differentials.

I can’t blame you for wanting to pay top dollar for that bike. It wouldn’t be a deal of a lifetime for me since I’m a Honda guy but if I found an old 300 Fourtrax that looked brand new and was owned by an old man since new for $2000-$2500 I’d want to jump all over it.

Find yourself an old Honda and run that MFer another 15 years
Damn, just saw that you missed out... why don’t you have your wife go ‘talk’ to the neighbor and get that ATV for you

That’s not a good deal at all...

No thanks on The Hondas, My Yamaha will be fine until I find the right King Quad.
