2002? ( I didn't check the sticker) Suzuki King Quad, with 411 miles on it,like brand new,1 old man owned it and it has never left his 5 acres.

His daughter is selling it,he is in the nursing home now. She is firm at $2,500.

Would y'all do it? I probably am.

What’s their number? I’ll call to verify the quality of the deal.

It actually has 2 motorcycle mirrors on it, I don't think I have ever seen that before on a 4 wheeler.

Is that really a good deal? No idea.

I remember when a 15 yr old 4wheeler was like 800 lol.

Well, those old King Quads are one of the few ATVs,that had speedometers and Odometers back then, and this one has 411 miles..
Also those had some unique features. The engine, transmission, transfer case and rear differential are all connected,no rear drive shaft or chain. It's called an integrated gear system, and the engine sits further towards the rear, making the front end lighter, and gives a better ride. I think these were also the first with 4 wheel independent suspension.
They have 3 transfer case selections High/low/and super low,and a locking front differential.
I have seen one with 14,000 miles on it before, that was still running like new.
They are pretty hard to find, because people that have them don't sell them usually.
When it's in super low,and the front differential locked in,it's like a damn tractor.

I was told in another thread that it is impossible to find a good used four wheeler and to only buy new.

That's probably correct,if you are really looking for 1. I wasn't looking for this one though,so it just kind of popped up.

I guess you missed the part about 411 miles, and it's an old type Suzuki King Quad, which is my favorite ever built.
From a resale perspective,it's not a good deal, because most people like something better looking. These are not good looking machines, they are not high powered mud sling monsters, just tough as a tank.
I will have it forever.

If you are happy with it, buy it

Just curious though. What do you think the sticker price was on 2002 and what do you think it's worth right now?

Sounds like it basically sat up. That’s not good for an engine.

only you can decide whether it's a deal of a lifetime
because it's your lifetime

free would be a deal of a lifetime for me
2500 bucks for a 15 yr old bike sounds like top dollar

Sticker price back in 2002 was about $4,600. They were an expensive machine. Right now, they are worth what a person is willing to pay.
These particular models have a niche, and people are willing to pay for them, because they are hard to find.

Deal of a lifetime, negative, decent deal yes. Thing I don’t like about Suzuki’s is crappy dealers in my area and parts can be hard to find or even obsolete with age sometimes. If it fits your needs and you want it roll with it.

That is generally true on Iron block stuff.I haven't found that to be true so much on small aluminum engines. Usually Carbs laquer up,crud up and have to be replaced, this one is running perfectly though.
On a car,it has belts, and hoses that will dry rot,and other little stuff that will rust and get stuck,a 4 wheeler doesn't have much of this type stuff.
I rode it yesterday,it was just like a new one.
I am on my way to San Antonio right now, going to call the wife in a bit,and tell her to take the money by there, and I think my uncle will go pick it up for me.

2006 Kawasaki Prairie 360 4x4
Original owner, looks brand new (elderly man who passed away and son didn't want it)

$2500 for a 16 year old 4 wheeler doesn't sound like that great of a deal.

In 2009 I found an 04 Honda Foreman 450 on La Sportsman for $2700. It had less than a 1000 miles (IIRC), warn winch, front and back racks, and came with new ITP 589's on aluminum rims and he had the stock rims and tires. I thought it was a scam but went and looked anyway. The thing was spotless. I've had it 9 years and it went in the shop once because the paper in the air filter deteriorated and got sucked in the carb.
