They are shooting them in the interior of the state here and just letting them lay. So many of them are destroying crops and sod farms. My friend went on a shoot in Arcadia and used ATVs at night with night vision and ARs.. Said it was the most fun hes had with his clothes on

Out tonight but hadn’t seen any. We had some rutting pop up since the rain.

The deer are moving tonight though.

3 more tonight so that’s 86 pigs total in 2026 for the board.

Keep this shite up to date so I don’t have to add these numbers up.

My neighbor chiseled his pasture next to me and per our gentlemen’s agreement I shot a pretty big boar with the 6.8 at about 225 yards while ago. He went down then dusted himself off and trotted off. Time for a 308.

I’ve had much better luck with my 6.8 SPC once I switched ammo. I’m still going to get my new setup in .308 but the hornady 120 grain bullets work wonders.

Those things are a nightmare if you love to hunt whitetail. But since you said you’re not worried about the whitetail really then yes absolutely they can create a more target rich environment.
Start bow hunting them for a better challenge

Agreed, my normal hog pills are the 110 pro hunter hand loads but in the heat of battle I grabbed a 5 rounder of 90 grain gold dots that palmetto was pretty much giving away years back.

It is such BS that they don't issue permits on some WMA's in the offseason to people to hunt feral pigs. WMA's act like sanctuarys for them. But they know that some a-hole will shoot a deer out of season and ruin it for everyone.

I don't get why they can't do the incentive reward program for harvesting like they do with nutria with X$ / pig tail

Gun hunters/dog hunters don't make a significant impact on the populations so it isn't worth the enforcement hassle to them. Plus it makes them harder to trap. There's a week in May where you can hunt them on most state public. hardly anybody goes from what I've seen on 3 or 4 different wmas.

Add 3 to the list, should be up to 90 so far. We had about 20 out in front of us 100 yards with termals, I know we've put some lead into some others but these three were close by the next morning when we went looking. After the first shots most made it to the brush pretty quick. That one was north of 200lbs, big old boar, probably 4 or 5 shots in him before he went down for good. Also got a bonus yote this morning while looking for the pigs.

Three so far in 2026. All in one shoot. 6.5 Grendel

Lined the first two up and caught the third one running.

So we'll go with 94 at this point. Are the pics of the pigs showing up for everyone? I can see on my phone, on my laptop it says "uploading this content requires registration", never seen that before. Maybe there is a pig lover at imgbb, I ain't registering for anything
