I’ll be in the woods Friday and Saturday next week. Wish I could get out this sunday but it isn’t going to happen.

I killed the biggest buck of my life in a T-shirt right at daybreak.

Funny how many times I've frozen my arse off for nothing

It's not fun, but I'll be out there Sunday morning.

Probably sweating and fighting the mosquitos, but I don't know where else I would rather be.

Next weekend looks like a front is coming and will be in the 50s, but I'll be out of town

I'm done after the third bow hunt this am. Swirling wind busted 3/4 mile walk in swatting mosquitoes. I'm getting old and soft I reckon and don't use a 4wheeler to get within 350 yards of my stand. Wait it out till front hits down vote away baws!

Spiderwebs, buck flies and ticks, screw that shite.
Great thing about when yall hardcore hunters get going, they have some great deals on chicken and pork down at the piggly wiggly

About 10 years ago, I realized that the early season bow hunts, are just not as fun when the sweat is dripping before you get half way to your tree.

About 20 years ago, I started hunting piney woods a lot more here in SW Louisiana where usually the mosquitoes are not any problem.

But when that first cool front comes and the temp gets down near 60F, I usually can't resist making a hunt.

Im 57 and I tell myself each year that I’m not hunting in the heat anymore…..then along comes Oct 1 and I’m in a tree telling myself “it’s not so bad” ??

Be safe brothers!

we got deer moving in the daylight on all our cameras. heat doesnt matter, just a little pain in the arse. Hopefully the mosquitos won't be out, lack of rain has me optimistic. will have thermacell tomorrow. got a 140" eight but only showing up at 8p or later. he'll mess up but prob won't be until the rut.
