Best area in Louisiana/Mississippi for a hunting/fishing camp where you can do everything (fish/deer hunt/duck hunt/turkey hunt) or close to it?

The camp is the easy part it’s getting the lease for the hunting rights that’s tough.

I have no idea as far as lease goes.

I’ve always felt like the Dularge area has some of the most outdoors options, saltwater fishing, inshore/offshore, freshwater, duck hunting. Not sure about deer although we have seen them on the banks quite a few times.

You can pretty much pick any oxbow area from Tensas down to Avoyelles parish to have good public land hunting and fishing. If you rather areas that dont flood Toledo bend has plenty of public land hunting and fishing.

Toledo bend area would be much easier and cheaper to find a lease. Finding a lease from Tensas down to Avoyelles will be very difficult if its a good one.

Larto Lake is nice. Good fishing on the Saline/Larto complex and can ski/tube on Larto. Deer/Duck/Squirrel/Hog hunting on Dewey W. Wills WMA or Catahoula Lake. And if you want to pony up some bucks, can hunt Honey Brake or the Delta.

Thing of the past.

Round up buddies (that have plenty disposable cash). Buy the land and build your own individual cabins with one common headquarters for cooking, etc.

That’s the new trend, friend.

Maybe on hard ground but not in the marsh. Most all the marshland at least in Terrebonne parish is owned by oil/gas or land companies or believe or not the school board. To me a camp that’s for hubtibg and fishing is in the marsh but I’m a coonass from south la. If we talking in a lake with hard ground hunting your friends all better be doctors and lawyers you talking millions for 1000 acres and water access

Hidden Gem but if you in the right spot in Dularge you can hunt deer/rabbits/duck and fish anything from freshwater to bluewater.

Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge

Thousands of mallards flying through flooded timber has traditionally made Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge a major waterfowl hunting destination. The refuge is a popular destination for those who want a remote hunting experience in bottomland hardwood forests. Additionally, many hunters travel here to experience the refuge's quality deer and turkey hunting. Access to the refuge is granted by numerous public roads, ATV/UTV trails, and boat ramps. Visitors should contact the refuge or visit the website before their visit for the most up-to-date information and regulations. Hunters with disabilities may also apply for additional access with a special use permit.

Deer and turkey quota hunt permits are issued via a lottery system where participants must apply before a deadline to be eligible for the hunt. All quota hunt applications and payments must be processed online. All applicants are subject to a $5.00 non-refundable application fee for quota hunts. Successful applicants will be charged an additional $15.00 per permit fee.

Plus the Ouchita River and tributaries for fishing
