Just hit 60 and I no longer have the desire to hunt or fish alone . Love to do it with my sons or friends . Will sit on box stand for awhile and call it therapy , have shot two does . Loading and unloading bass boat is a pain . Probably will get more motivated when 2 year old grandson is ready to go . Have access to multiple private ponds .

I pray that when I'm 60 plus I have the option to hunt whenever I want. But I can imagine it might get difficult with the boat.

When you’re young you always plan to have all the free time you want once your kids are grown to go do whatever you want. Then once they are grown and out of the house you are bored as frick and don’t want to do anything alone

54 and mostly fish alone. Just at a point in my life where I have more free time than most of my friends. I also make a lot of last minute trips.

For fishing, find a bass club to join or a good fishing partner that has the same goals.

I am 67 and fish alone quite often. Being by yourself at the launch can be a pain; I am thinking of getting a wet slip or purchasing some property where I can install a hoist.

I typically enjoy experiences of any kind with others, but have been hunting more by myself lately out of necessity. It’s probably not the safest either, but I have a ton of flexibility with my life so sometimes I like to just up and go.

I do like hunting and fishing with friends in a lot of instances, but give me the woods to myself on a nice spring morning to chase turkeys alone

42 self employed, all my friends have teenagers and my boys are 19/22 with real jobs lol. I have the ability to just say frick it and roll out to fish or hunt whenever I get the itch. It’s all still fun, but not having someone to talk shite on when you are out fishing them gets old..

I’m in the same boat. A little younger with younger kids but childcare is never an issue. And not married, so that helps

It sucks not being able to talk shite when you catch a couple big ones in a row...so I just Snapchat it to all my friends who are working instead.

53 and I have no problem hunting and fishing alone. Being in the woods is 1000 times better than dealing with the drama at work, home, or in the real world. Definitely more selective during hunting situations as I'm not shooting a deer/pig during the last few minutes of daylight.

I'm younger but I have no problem hunting/fishing alone as far as being "lonely" goes.... the negatives though is doing anything out of a boat. I mainly duck hunt and the buddies I grew up duck hunting with have since moved away. Duck hunting solo (especially with a boat) is just dangerous... we had a guy in our area drown pretty recently. I don't hunt solo unless I have to at this point.

71 and have no problem going hunting or fishing by myself,actually prefer it.Go when I want,where I want,leave when I want.Maybe I’m selfish.
I’ve had a few friends over the years I like to hunt and fish with but they’ve dropped out for one reason or another.( moved away, back problems)Now,unless my wife wants to go,I go by myself.
I know guys my age that won’t go by their self ( “ something might happen”).I’ve never had a fear of the woods or water.

I’m 42 and fish alone every Friday. It’s my half day decompress and wouldn’t change it right now. I used to golf, now I fish and it’s been great.
One of my sons enjoys fishing so when he is out of school he comes with me

i turned 70 in august. bought a new boat last january. love to fish alone.
also bow hunt and in our ten member club only two other guys bow hunt. there’s lots of days when i’m the only one on the lease.
i make sure to let other guys know where i’m doing either activity and call them with reports so they know i’m headed home.

I hunt alone. I fish 95% alone. I will take my wife fishing when I know I am going to be hammering them and the weather's nice.

I went with a 19' boat just because it is much easier to launch and recover solo versus a larger deep v.

If I'm not hunting with my dad I usually hunt alone. The solitude is nice and I always love being out, but the older I get the more I like to have company. Not just because of safety reasons but because I really do think sharing the experience with somebody is a big part of it for me.

Tough to find trustworthy company you can hunt with consistently... and honestly one of the main reasons I got a dog.
