I put this on the Poli Board too.

First, Dick's stopped selling firearms to 18-20 yr olds

Second, they not only said they'd stopping selling ARs but they destroyed their entire inventory of ARs AND the accessories.

Third, now they've hired 3 federal lobbyists to lobby for......wait for it........here it comes......gun control.

This was reported a while back and is why there's been several firearm manufacturers that have cut ties with Dick's and refuse to sell to them anymore.

They just sell them through Field and Stream. It’s a nice feel good thing they can do without really losing much customer base (directly related to firearms anyway)

They stopped selling any guns to 18-20 year olds and stopped selling AR's at Field & Stream stores too

Probably just a short term thing like going to a new restaurant that just opened up in the neighborhood but as time goes by....down, down, down.

Wonder how that correlates with it being summer time and more people looking to buy outdoor shite? I can't imagine the anti-gun crowd flocking to their stores due to their anti-gun stance making up for the loss of customers and overall shitty high prices to begin with.

I stop by the one in Lafayette on occasion, never end up buying anything, just browsing around, and there's hardly ever anyone in there. Go a 1/2 mile down the road to Academy and it's packed.

I said it in the other thread that Dick's is also Field & Stream as well as Golf Galaxy.

See if it lasts. They only announced 1st quarter sales numbers recently and the Parkland shooting and Dick's virtue signaling didn't happen until halfway thru Q-1. They might've gotten a short term bump in March from the anti-gun crowd. Wait until Q-3 when they would normally be selling more guns and hunting gear and see how those numbers look.

I don't know how the Lafayette one stays open. Academy has got to be eating their lunch.
