I usually wait for lows in the 30's, but hunt the week after Christmas every year no matter what.

I only use one when I have my leafy bug suit on.

If anyone that isnt shooting traditional (recurve/long bow) says yes to the OP you need to work on your form

WeI just need to make sure mr deer understands he needs to come out exactly perfect so I can maintain my form. shite, I've shot em sitting, twisting, straight down, shot one shooting up to the rim of a washout in Iowa. String popping a jacket or heavy coat is always possible.

You can keep the proper archers T no matter how you are seated on twisting. 90% of the deer I kill I'm sitting in a climber. I do agree that guards are usefull with a loose fitting jacket or coat. I used one until I changed to an Under Armour fleece jacket. It's warm without being bulky.

Probably gripping the bow too tightly or shooting too long of a draw.

I don't use one unless I have a baggy shirt on.
Used to use rubberbands for this.

I don't use one. I know how to hold a bow.....now. I learned a quick and painful lesson a few years ago, though

I don't use one. I'll smack my arm every now and then but its rare.

I use one or a sleeve made from a cut out boot sock and camo'd to hold loose baggy sleeves

Used them while hunting with my compound to keep my sleeve out of the string. Also used the sock method mentioned above. Use arm guards all the time with my longbow.

K.
Got my bow out after not shooting for a couple months. First shot I hit my arm. Quick reminder to pull with you back.
