how do you make your garden rows?

I've got a smaller garden. 21 rows 65' a piece. to big to want to do it by a hoe. the last several years I have had a buddy come over with his tractor and row maker. that's been great and appreciated but I hate depending (and waiting) on other people. I'm surprised there isn't anything you can hook up to a 4 wheeler or at least I cant find it. I even thought about getting some discs for a 4 wheeler for food plots but the ones I see cannot have the discs turned to throw the dirt in the middle. so how do yall make your rows?

Rent a tiller from home depot for the day.

How you throwing a row with the tiller? I use a hoe, but I keep my rows from year to year, till the middles and add back to the existing rows...

I’ve got a tiller but it just turns the ground. Doesn’t sling dirt to the middle to make rows.

I'm assuming you are able-bodied. Knock out a couple in the morning, take a break for breakfast, do a couple more, start the coals on pit, do a couple more, crack open a beer and put meat on, do a couple more, take meat off and feed people, nap, wake up and row up the rest, drink the rest of your beer. You have an A+ Saturday lined up. I'm jealous.

The name for a row maker is a disc bedder.
Shouldnt be to hard to build one to pull with a atv.
But may be better to rent a tractor for the weekend or pay someone for a garden that size.

That right there tells me you don’t grow a big garden. Thanks for the insight.

We used to use a plow attachment on our tiller for the rows.

I use a tiller and a hoe now. Used to do it this way:

Hoe and rake
That is not what I would call a “smaller garden”

Its not small, but if the ground is tilled good its definitely not too much to do with a hoe in a day.

My lil scrawny arse wouldn't be able to lift up my beer after hoeing all those rows.

Yeah, I think I’d hire some Home Depot help for that if I didn’t have a tractor.

no, that isnt a garden its a small field
any way just get row maker and pull it with your 4 wheeler or buy a small mini tractor to work the ground for you with that much ground to turn over.
maybe go see about having something custom built for plowing and rowing your garden made for your 4 wheeler, since you are in that spot of too small for buying a full sized tractor and too big to do by hand

You need a Hiller-Furrower kit for your tiller.

Contrary to your opinion, I have been known to have large gardens, similar in size to yours. True, at the farm we use a tractor, but 21 65' rows doesn't necessitate a tractor if you don't have one and have time.
Also, my 65 yr old father has a garden about the size of your garden (15-18 rows probably), and he busts ground with a tractor and makes the rows by hand over the period of a couple days.

I've got 10 rows 60' long, and a 21 hp Yanmar with a disk. Spread fertilize over all, then turn it up for a couple of hours with the tractor. Raise the disk and pad out between the rows with the tires. Hill between the tire tracks with a hoe. Takes me about 3-4 hours total (1 hour of disking, 1 hour each afternoon hoeing for two days, 1 hour to plant).
Not pretty, but fairly easy and makes more than I can eat.
