Update from yesterday afternoon:
"Brandt went to therapy, where they made him stand up and count to 10. They asked him what year it was and he told them he didn't feel like answering that he was tired!"
OB, the fact that 3 days after this accident, he is awake, alert, breathing on his own, exhibiting this much brain function, standing, counting and talking to family is a miracle beyond belief. He is a fighter and progressing daily. I temper this with the fact that their is still alot of uncertainty going forward, but he is certainly fighting

Counted to 10 last night, raised each leg on command, knew his name, DOB and gave one of his friends the

Agreed. Nobody I hunt with will load their gun until we are all sitting next to each other in the blind. No excuse for this happening. Prayers sent for the kid and his family.

?An update I saw on FB.
((update))I went by the hospital to visitTorres today.He is the young man that was shot in the head last week while Duck Hunting with his friends. Tuesday of last week the Doctors told his family he would not be able to talk r not sure what he would be able to do. All the Prayers worked the next day Brandt was standing up, talking and ready to go home. Brandt told me today he was ready to go back hunting.. This is a true Miracle. Thank you all for all your prayers..
