You need to get the trap door on it and tie it up so it doesn't go off. The hogs obviously did not like the door once you put it on. Yes, little details matter.

Im in La? No idea. We arent turning them loose agian, just clipping the males, worming them, and feeding them for a month to get them right to eat.
Im pretty sure it isnt illeagal to move them away from the trap before you kill them though.
