Was looking forward the Teal opener Saturday down in lower St Bernard/Plaquemines. But as a general rule the Teal bug out on high tides. Hopefully a few stick it out since the tides should subside a good bit by Saturday hopefully.

If you can be Mobil get up in the flooded grass and skip the small ponds and bay edges.

Bingo. They love all the seeds and invertebrates that pop up when the marsh floods.

Teal in Texas are almost non-existent in the marsh till they got beat up in the rice. It usually takes about an hour and then it is on.

Agree. They’ll be in the rice until ran out. Problem is…no rice available in SELA.
