Rize, do you own any of the rebranded staccato’s?

I don’t even know what that is.

I know STI and Staccato but have no idea about rebranded.

I think he just means, do you own any Staccato's made after the company changed names. As Staccato is technically just the company STI that rebranded its name to Staccato.

What about a steyr scout? Cabelas BR has had a hell of a sale on them for a while now. Super slick rifle.

Sig Cross .308

I got one this year and absolutely love it. Tack driver. Great trigger.

I would look at a Fierce rifle or a Horizon rifle. Both are semi custom rifles and will shoot a lot better than a factory rifle for not much more money

I don't like the semi-custom route. I think they cost far too much for what you get. It isn't difficult at all to find reports of fierce and other similar brand rifles having problems. For the reduced volume they do that isn't good. Fierce in particular gets railed on the internet for rifle and customer service issues.

This isn't true in my limited experience with them. Regular off the shelf rifles are excellent these days. I've only shot one tikka that I can recall that was a 1.5 MOA rifle. All the other dozen + of them have been right at MOA and some better with 5 to 10 shot groups. Not that it matters for OP, 3 MOA is fine for 200 yards. Its just not a sure thing that more expensive rifle = shoots better anymore.

I was at my LGS y-day and they had some barreled and just actions from Bergara.

They looked really good. Was tempted to grab one though I don’t know what I’d build right now.

Very happy with my Bergara. Still playing with load development, so constantly throwing new seating depths, loads, and bullets at it. But its never shot a group larger than .8 MOA and regularly shoots .5 MOA. Always at least 5 shot groups with a bipod and rear bag.

I don’t know about any of those reviews on the internet but I have a fierce in 7Mag that will shoot 3 that a quarter will cover.

They certainly build good ones. One guy recieved a smooth bore and had to go through a lot of bs to get it fixed. It just isn't worth the risk IMO.

Bergara all the way, best trigger in the game.

I have the b-14 in .308, my son has the same gun in .300.

I love these dang rifles. I have several other brand rifles and the bergara is the one I hunt with the most unless I just want to hunt with the old 30-06.

Well, they do use trigger tech triggers. They’re some of the best and I have several of them in my rifles.

I’m not even sure what some of my shite has trigger wise at this point. I don’t have the time to shoot much anymore and haven’t had a range day in years.

Basic Tikka t3 and stock/chassis of your choosing. Will be very light and far under your budget.

Another vote for this.

You can go Tikka action and barrel, and carbon chassis for 2500.

Mdt makes a nice one called the hnt26.

Leupold or zeiss on top with your budget.
