How many of baws have been on one? I'm not big hunter, typically go once or twice a year when someone offers but I have a chance to go on a helicopter hunt in a few weeks.

Anything you can tell me about the experience. The guy taking us said we could take 100 per man easily.......I'm skeptical.

Hunt?

You mean slaughter?

I don't care about it if those things need to be thinned out to that degree, but it is offensive to call it hunting. JMO

100 per seems extreme to me, but I've never done it personally.

I think I would get violently sick trying to find an animal in optics while flying around...

If the helicopter was only going in a straight line and I knew when it would turn that'd be different but having no control AND trying to concentrate on looking down a barrel, nah.

Basically, if it weren't for the fact that I'm such a p@#$ then it'd probably be a real hoot!

I agree with you.......they advertise it as "hunt" so thats what I called it.

That was actually one of my reservations about going, not alot of sport in it. (im probably about to get bashed for saying that here )

I'm not offended.

Hunt:

1. pursue and kill (a wild animal) for sport or food.

Seems like that pretty much falls in line with the definition.

I'd jump on that, sounds like an awesome time.

Friend of mine did this, and showed me a video of it and I found it a bit disturbing. I have nothing against helicopter hunts but they left a lot of injured critters out there to suffer.

In that case, I'd definitely jump on it.

They had a helicopter lined up for us last year in San Saba if we wanted, but it was $375/person plus shells for 1 hour. It was a little steep for my cheap arse.

Did one around Pearsol, TX on about 30000 acres

2 helicopters flying for 8 hours with about 20 guys rotating in and out.

Killed 150+ hogs and 15 coyotes with shotguns and buckshot

2 former Army Medivac pilots often times getting close enough to hit the pigs with a rock
