I've got an '18 EB 2.7 with 3.55 rear end. I'm getting 22 mpg, mix of highway/city around Houston and 25 mpg straight highway.
Love the engine so far.

gotta '14 f150 3.5 eco wit 191K miles, dashboard reads 18.8 mpg mostly highway miles, standard maintenance, no problems other than it feels like it misses or slips when pulling a trailer at >60mph, any ideas on problem other than "get rid of it due to high mileage"?

55000 miles on a 2016 2.7l Ecoboost. Engine has plenty of get up and go. No issues so far and it pulls my 5000 pounds worth of boat/motor/gear no problem. I get 20-21 hand calculated mpg driving 75-80. Mileage does nosedive to about 10-11 mpg while towing though.

2015 3.5 ecoboost, 4wd, 4door. 85,000 miles, never been in the shop, no problems. Regular MPG, with mixed driving, is around 18. If all highway, and driving the speed limit, have gotten up to 24. Towing anything will DRAMATICALLY DECREASE MILEAGE, usually to around 11-12 mpg, but I am typically running about 85-90 mph when doing this. Previous F150s (2) both had 5.0. Had no problems with them, either, other than had a coil pack replaced on one at about 40k miles. Drove both over 125k. I will say, which surprised me, that the 3.5 SIGNIFICANTLY outperforms the 5.0. My next truck will be another F150, and it will have the ecoboost. Hope this helps.

2016 2.7 SC 20.5mpg for 26,000 miles on the computer. Hand calc is within .1 or .2mpg per tank vs computer.

2018 3.5 EcoBeast with the 10 speed transmission. Sport mode is insane on this set up.

I have been a Tundra homer for the last 4 years. Owned 2. First one was a 2014 that bit the dust in Hurricane Harvey and #2 is it's replacement I bought last year that is a 2015. I just got a new job and have the option to keep the Tundra with truck pay or get into a 2017 Ford F150 4X4 with a 3.5 Eco. I don't need both so which one should I keep considering I will get an option to buy the Ford outright in 6 months?

Wife has a 2018 F150 with the 3.5 and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the power and fuel mileage. With it being the wife’s truck it hasn’t been used for towing. It is averaging 19.7 overall. She’s had it a year this month.

I just got 2018 3.5 ecoboost at end of September. It's a Monster compared to the v8. Could easily tell the power difference and better gas mileage too boot.

Why would a leveling kit affect fuel mileage?

It can have a pretty profound effect on aerodynamics. I took the front valence off my truck because i buggered it up a little bit and seem to have lost about 1.5 mpg at 70 mph.

Why do you think they come from the factory with a front end rake? Aerodynamics and better fuel economy.

Actually, the front isn’t lowered, it’s the back is a little higher to account for hauling.

Sort of off topic but I just got an oil change in my 2013 F150 eco boost and they trying to sale me on having the coolant flush, brake lines flushed, transmission flush, and some sort of injector and throttle body cleaner. 96,000 miles. I know al this is recommended but is it necessary.

I took the front valence off of my F-150 (5.0 V8).
had 0 effect whatsoever on my MPG

That is definitely the reasoning for the rake, but it does affect the fuel mileage as well.

It might not have really had an effect on mine either, and i havent noticed it on the overall average per tank. I rarely go over 65 and dont spend much time on the interstate. Its a 4x4 F250 gas so the front axle being exposed probably does add some drag. Watching the instantanious at 70 it does seem to hover around the 15 mark and before it seemed to go between 16 and 17 more.

It sounds like your neighbor is an idiot.

I have a 2013 F150 3.5 and just turned 171k miles. No issues so far and only routine scheduled maintenance.
