Or is this totally different?

small lake in Kisatchie near Alexandria

That looks like a 7 lbs head, but could be an angle pic. You probably found that floating after turtles ate the body then strategically placed it like so...

...

she was probably closer to 6, I have no idea, but she did drag my kayak a bit

Oh yeah, thats where that woman caught the lake record at about 14 lbs. a couple of years ago. Growing up in Leesville I still keep in touch with a lot of people down there. They said that little lake got raped once that story was published in the LA sportsman.

I was just messing with you, you can tell by her bottom lip she's a chunk.

Biggest ever was 7lb 4oz in a lake up north of Bogalusa. Haven't caught one close since.

Then again, once I found out what a speckled trout was I pretty much gave up bass fishing. Getting back into it slowly now though.

yep, same lake, and the pressure has died down a lot since then

it's only about 1 mile from my parents place so I hit it up a lot when I go down there

Caught this one last march in my yak. Biggest bass to date. 7.1 and I think like 26". She already dropped her eggs.

My dad caught an 8.5 last weekend. To go along with a 7.6 and two 5s, the lucky bastard. The one in his right hand is the 8.5 and the other is a 5 pounder

If you are over 15 years old, that's some pretty sad coat tail riding...

Just by looking at it, that looks like a "jig fish".

Was it caught on a jig, highcotton?
