I guess the burglary charge is from him boarding the other boat?

The Coast Guard does not frick around. Ole boy is behind bars

The linked press release says it was the Punta Gorda Police Department Marine Unit that arrested him and put him in the Charlotte County Jail.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and the United States Coast Guard are conducting separate investigations. So more charges could follow.

He has has been arrested and charged under Florida Statute 810.02(2)(A) – Burglary with Assault or Battery (non-forced entry).

Florida Statute 810.02 Burglary says:

(b) For offenses committed after July 1, 2001, “burglary” means:

1. Entering a dwelling, a structure, or a conveyance with the intent to commit an offense therein, unless the premises are at the time open to the public or the defendant is licensed or invited to enter.

(2) Burglary is a felony of the first degree, punishable by imprisonment for a term of years not exceeding life imprisonment or as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084, if, in the course of committing the offense, the offender:
(a) Makes an assault or battery upon any person.

Florida 784.011 Assault.—
(1) An “assault” is an intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to do violence to the person of another, coupled with an apparent ability to do so, and doing some act which creates a well-founded fear in such other person that such violence is imminent.

He's in trouble.

Can’t lie - broke my heart a little bit hearing the victim apologize and saying he was just a kid. Wish he would have gooses the throttle and dumped that douche in the drink.

He tried to diffuse the situation multiple times and bro still lost his shite. Also surprised the client’s on bro’s boat didn’t step up. Shameful.

This dude is going to end up being sent to a behavioral health unit. Both out of necessity and as part of his defense. Hopefully he gets some help.

On first viewing I just figured this guy was an a-hole, which he may be, but he’s clearly also got some mental health issues going on based on everything we know so far.

His buddies didn’t do him any favors letting it go that far.

His arrest record has been posted and he’s had quite a few run ins with the law, including 3 separate arrests for battery within a short time span back when he was 17-18. That kind of blows up any attempt to use the defense that he has PTSD from his military service because his prior record shows he’s always been an a-hole.

I’m not really tying it to his military time, I just think he’s mental. Being an a-hole may come natural to him, but it’s a level of acting out a-hole that needs some involuntary treatment.

It may have been discussed already in an earlier post, but was this the same guy who went ape shite on a charter trip with a kid? Video was posted on here a good while back.
Wife just showed me a video on FB and the same that was posted on here and the post claiming it was him.

Look at me, standing up for a psycho

I've actually seen a number of people actually do this. They've read his lawyers fluff "apology" and posted something like "well this is good, they need to settle this over some beers and a fishing rod".

WTF that's crazy talk. This isn't an isolated incident of "the mondays" or something. This is a person with a serious criminal record and deep mental issues. He should be in jail, and while in jail, I hope he can find a counselor or minister that can help him.

The kid should go visit him in jail and hit him with “I am the captain now” and walk out. ??

Glad to see the captain getting charged, what an absolute piece of shite. Brock was in a bad mood because he didn't catch any fish for his video, so he took it out on the kid. Someone with that lack of self control has no business guiding people on the water.

so he’s also looking at a suspension or loss of his license plus federal maritime charges in addition to the local PD criminal charges.

Boo the frick hoo. If this dickwad 'scootdaddy' was 'filming' where was his equip? Plus, immense douchiness shows by wearing a bb cap like that.

And how do you just sit on your asses and not even try to settle crap down? IMO, the passengers on the jailed frick's boat also need to be charged as accessories.
