A lot of the dogs back in the day answered to no master...they were free agents who may have slept most nights on someone's property but neither the property owner or the dog thought anyone owned anyone....

We knew dogs would bite...we knew where the dogs were and fences weren't...it ain't like we were surprised...it was the way of the world at the time. Dogs chase bikes...kids ride bikes...we all knew this was the nature of things and we were supposed to be smarter than the dog...a few bites would certainly teach you a lesson that being told you weren't at fault wouldn't. I ain't saying it was right or wrong it just was.

Aren't you a lawyer? This is totally false.

Tell.me.more. I googled dog bite coverage and it states in several 1st page posts that the breed is usually excluded.
Are you saying legally the insurance has to pay anyway?

Dad said he would install a tow sack in the hub cap of his car and drive by a particular house that had a bad dog. It had chased him while riding his bike one day. Drives by and dog latched on to tow sack and he hit the gas. Was the last day that dog chased a car or bike.
I have no companies willing to include the bite breeds and some that you have to buy back liability. When I was at FB there were no breed restrictions but that was 14 yrs ago.
One reason I was always careful with having dogs ?? n for training since there was zero liability for boarded dogs.

No, I am saying it's not universal one way or the other. Some companies exclude certain breeds while others do not. Our largest single insurer, State Farm, does not. My clients' policies do not. So when saying most, one needs to define most.

CHOOSE!??!?

that decision was made the instant that thing bit you and confirmed when it stalked you and bit a second time several minutes later.

it should be dead

done

over

thrown in a field for the coyotes and buzzards to eat

So, last night I just happened to be watching Night Crew because i simply did not want to change the channel. Some dude was hunting rabbits and coyotes with an eagle. I shite you not, coyote hunted by an eagle.

So I go to youtube in hopes to find the video, and I find this one of hunting wolves, yes wolves, with eagles. Video here. Jump to 10:15.

If that dog bit you once, I don't understand why it isn't dead. That second bite is your fault for not killing the damn thing after the first bite.

I know for a fact FB won't write a homeowners policy if you have a pitbull[/quote]

as someone who works in loss control i can tell you most carriers wont write a policy if you have 1 of the six breeds considered to be aggressive

Not reading 8 pages.

We had a hybrid for over 10 years. Had to put him down in January. My son thought it'd be cool to own one and left him with us when he moved out.

1. Most vets WILL NOT treat this breed. So it probably doesn't have proper shots.

2. Call the police/animal control.

3. Go get a rabies shot.

4. Kill that motherfrickers

Soak sponges in hamburger grease.

No joke, about a year ago I was trying to get Bentley to back outside and gave him a bone but he couldn't find it so I reach down to give it to him and he shows me his teeth. I slap him on his head and he gets pissed. I'm not afraid of dogs at all so I just reach back and full force punch him in the face and he goes down.

I go into the main room of the basement and grab the handle of a pool stick because I'm about to frick him up when my wife comes down the stairs and wants to know what I'm doing to that harmless baby.

They're very dangerous animals, he used to trail behind me when I mowed in the backyard. I'd have to 180 the mower and run toward him and he'd finally go lay down.

No one but immediate family could be with him. I was always afraid if he ever got on anyone I wouldn't be able to get him off them.

Same, what kind of moron goes back out after getting attacked without a gun to put this dog down if it attacks again and then let's their SO go out too? Call animal control or shoot it in the face.

Since it attacked a human, that's pretty much a death sentence for a pet in most places when you get animal control involved.

Several minutes later she went out to talk to the attorney owner..she's also an attorney. The dog was thought to have been put back in higher fence area behind the house.
I only went back out once I realized she had started walking over to the home.

Call animal control

Did that

They are involved and animal is no longer present. Lawsuit imminent. Let the dog testify
