Don’t really need a truck but a friend offered me his 2012 tundra crew max 4x4 with 58,000 miles for $20,000. Its a 5.7 liter flex fuel Texas edition.

I have Ford that I would sell to make this work.

Should I jump on it? Drive it for a couple years and upgrade?

Ask him for the vin and put it in a few of the carmax type services and see what they would give for it.

He’s probably around $10k or more low on his price.

Buy it. If you don’t like it, you can make a profit selling it.

seems like a good deal. but, you'll lose some fuel mileage for sure.

He has 200k miles on his existing truck. He'll gain some confidence that he wont break down.

still flipping into a nearly 11 yr old truck

but the price is right.

the tundra won't nearly depreciate as much over next 3 yrs than what his F150 likely will compared to what he's selling it for now.
