Hey is it safe to run across Catherine in a boat these days?

Almost always catch bass on spoons in Delacroix/Reggio area. Flounders, too.

We were supposed to go to Delcroix last Monday so I bought some for bass and reds. May try them next time I fish for deep water bass

Deep water? I fish in 1'-2' of water with them in Delacroix/Reggio. I think you're thinking of jigging spoons. These spoons you just cast and retrieve. They wobble on their own. The reds think they're crabs or something, and that's why they try to take them straight back to their crushers. Most of the time, I feel a little 'tick', and set the hook. The 'tick' is right when it enters his mouth. If you wait to feel the fish, he probably already has it in his crushers.
Of course, if I'm just meat fishing, I don't care as much...
