The all new Glock comes in .22LR. I’m not a fan of .22. It’s too unreliable and week for my liking. It could be an awesome way to introduce my boys to pistols. Have to think it will be reliable like other Glocks. Anyone picking one up this week?

Eh, they’re a little late to the party.

I may buy one at some point but it won’t be this week. I would not have one until they have a threaded barrel anyway.

Anyone know what the price on them will be?

Too much for a .22LR pistol, unless glock will ship them under blue label also. I've seen $340-390 online for preorder

The only 22 pistol I need is a ruger mark iii.

I get a weird satisfaction cleaning that fricking thing because it's a challenge.

You know youre in for a good time when the MANUEL suggest a hammer/mallet to assist with disassembly.

For me that's one reason to buy a Glock. Cleaning interval is quite long (for centerfire models), and it's a quick, simple process.

I plan to buy a G44 once they hit Gunbroker at reasonable prices. They should be a great training tool for new shooters - before they start shooting a G19. I currently use an Advantage Arms kit on a G19 for training new shooters. I suspect the G44 will spell the end of AACKs.

I shot my buddy's yesterday. Initial thoughts are it's a glock. Same trigger and sights. Same grip and mag release. It is a lighter g19. The balance is noticeably off compared to a regular G19 due to the weight being so light. I'm not sure why they went with a polymer slide.

I will say it shot fine. No malfunctions, but we only shot about 50 rounds. It does shoot high, but consistently high and accurate. The rear sight needs to be adjusted. The mags were strange. They are the same size as a G19 but only hold 10 rounds. The follower height could have been reduced to get another 2-3 round capacity.

Unless you want to use it as cheap practice on the G19 platform I think there are a lot better 22 pistols out there for the money. But even then the loaded weight of a G19 vs the loaded weight of the G44 would throw me off.

I wish the glock love would die. Now they are ripping people off with this piece of shite. Basic arse overpriced guns with no personality. Just because “everyone should own one because of the excess parts and mags durr” doesn’t mean it’s that great of a pistol. Buy a gen 3 and throw it in the dresser for the doomsday. Other than that, plenty of better pistols at its price point out there.

"ripped off"? is the G44 something other than what its buyers believe it to be? "overpriced", its basic economics, something is worth whatever a buyer is willing to pay the seller for it.

I wish the hatred for glocks would die.
I mean why would you care what another person shoots. Nobody is twisting your arm if you don’t like them don’t buy them.
Other than this .22 which I’m sure they will work the bugs out of, they function flawlessly and for the price point give the the most bang for your buck with after market parts and holsters.

Military Arms Channel (MAC) is ripping it to shreds on their site and social media pages right now.

Basically, slide is cracking, releasing the firing pin when slide is open causing it to fire when not in battery, before slide makes it all the way closed.

Facebook video of it happening "live".
