yeah, it kind of blew my mind. i don't get the allure of hunting exotic animals. deer, duck, and other common game- i get. my dad hunts duck, pheasant, etc., but he would never kill an animal that is endangered, etc.

someone is guilty of killing a person recently. i don't think i could find any reason to shoot down another human being..

so knowing that it is illegal and knowing you could potentially get away with it... would you kill/injure a human for sport?

Just looking to get a sportsmen's perspective!

Just saw this on the news, they had to clip the eagle's wing and it won't be able to fly. I say they cut this fricker's leg off so he won't be able to walk.

I'd never shoot an eagle. they're majestic and beautiful. FWIW I don't shoot things I don't eat other than nuisance animals. (includes dogs w/o collars)

My environmental science professor at mcneese was invited to do a study of bald eagles. The first day he got to the park (yo sim.) I think, they gave him a jeep to use while he was there. One of the guys told him to take the jeep out and take in some scenery.

Long story short- he ran over a bald eagle on his first day there.

I may wing the douchebag shooting the Bald Eagle.

But just for sport.

And tell your boyfriend not to do it again.
It's illegal, immature and just moronic.

Not only would I NEVER think about shooting one, I would whoop the arse of anyone with me that shot one. I don't imagine you'll find any real hunters that would ever dream of shooting one. Hunters, for the most part, are more conscious of preserving the places and things they love them most. There are exceptions to that rule, but I don't care to associate with them.

Speaking of bald eagles ya'll, I saw the eagle near the foot of the bridge heading out of Kenner Saturday. It has a baby in there. At least one that I saw.

She was sitting on the edge, and you could see the little one's head poking up from out of the nest.

there used to be 7 subspecies of tigers living in a certain area of asia. and now only 5 exist. i don't really get why people(poachers) would want to kill exotic and endangered animals.

Not sportsmen. Poachers kill them to sell to impotent Japanese and Chinese who believe the spirit of the tiger will put lead back in their pencils. I have no idea why someone would kill a bald eagle. Then again, I have no idea why someone would be a serial killer either. The world is full of sick fricks.

eta: people kill/injure endangered species all the time

except the bald eagle is neither endangered nor a threatened species in the contiguous 48 states. smoked bald eagle with a side of scrambled ivory-billed woodpecker eggs is delish.
