What's the issue? Mine was dusty and the pilot would stay lit, so I blew some compressed air on the pilot, used some steel wool on the sensor, and then vacuumed it up. It works great now. It may just need a cleaning.

What’s going on baw? You can probably DIY clean it and that’ll fix most issues with lighting/staying lit.

i feel like it puts out no heat, all i can hear is the sound of money blowing out on the logs. visually, it pisses me off cause i feel like they design the flames where its not even hitting the fake wood that much. the gas is a bit flaky on my set up, after a while, the flame always goes down after 10ish minutes doesn't hold the same strength. It just is serving no purpose for me, visually looks dumb, no heat practically, and its a waste of money when running imo.

if you turned your pilot off during the summertime it probably accumulated some dust and does not have enough gas coming through. Like a previous poster said, turn the pilot off and blow some compressed air through it (like you would clean a computer keyboard). If it is a fireplace that has a wall switch and the pilot is staying lit then you have a connection issue between the wall switch and the burner. Could just be some loose wires or a faulty switch, both are easy fixes.

If you are on the northshore like your location says and you still can't figure it out then you can call Gary at Gas Fireplace Service Company- 985-467-0295

I hear you OP. I have the gas fireplace but it is not ventless. I have to open the flue and it creates a flow of my indoor warm air up and out of the flue. It looks nice but that’s about it.

I changed one of my wood burners to vented gas, and then changed it to ventless. All the heat now stays in the house plus adds a little humidity in the air. This freestanding fireplace is all brick & 6' wide. With the vented gas, & you had to stand right next to it to feel any heat at all. You won't be sorry if you go ventless.

You are correct. My fireplace is all brick. Built a custom corner cabinet for my SO for her basement and used a ventless rated firebox. Easily heats the whole house.

Gary came within 24 hours and did an outstanding job. Cleaned the unit, fixed my remote, properly arranged my logs and gave me some other tips. $135 service call.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! Gary was a great help.
