You would probably get harassed all day with an out of state registration on your boat.
Expect at least two blow outs.
Fuel mileage will take a hit.
On the other side of things. People pull travel trailers all over the country all the time. If you are going to spend a lot of time on the water it’s worth it. Good luck.

As stated already have some parts with you before you start. Check your trailer over carefully, make sure your leaf spring hardware is in good condition. Pro fisherman tow theirs thousands of miles thru out the year it can be done. Age and condition of the trailer would be the deciding factor for me.

Why not just rent one when there?

Quite a while ago I pulled a 28 foot cuddy from San Diego to Nola, few years later pulled it to Norfolk.
Wasn’t too heavy. Tandem axel.
About 15 years ago I pulled a very heavy 32 foot cuddy from Nola to Chesapeake, va. Two years later back.
Another very heavy duty triple axel trailer.
I never had any issues. Greased hubs and made sure tires were good before every trip. Checked hubs on every stop.
I see no diff between a big camper and a boat.

A family member of mine pulled his mud boat about 1200 miles to go hunting. He didn’t get all the way to the hunting land before some idiot hit the trailer from behind and in turn totaled his boat, trailer, and truck. Not surprising honestly because he’s one of those guys towing at 60mph on an interstate where people are going 85.

Assuming your Sea Pro is a deep V fishing boat, you would do better to rent. Tahoe has a ton of rental places with all type boats more suited for a family outing. Also, Tahoe is a HUGE lake with a lot of options. It would be cool to have a specific type boat for the area of the lake you will be boating.
One of the best times I have had was a day in South Lake Tahoe on a bow rider going from beach to beach. Also, be aware. The water temp in the lake rarely gets above 65F, even in August.

My wife is planning a get together with some friends/family at Lake Tahoe next year.
Has anyone driven a boat 1800ish miles for a round trip of 3600? I have the time to do it, I just don't know if it is just too big of a pain.
I've towed a trailer with a 4 wheeler and SxS to Moab and my 5th wheel wherever so I'm not scared of towing.
I have towed my 20 foot duck boat across the United States twice and from nearly about SC to New Mexico twice. Grease the bearings, have spares, keep the air pressure up, check the bearings when stopping. If its in good shape there will be no issues. Might have a spare hub on hand. My wife towed my 20 foot decoy trailer from Washington State to SC without any issues...same drill.

Check the regulations for boating on Lake Tahoe. A few years back they required a certified inspection that no invasive species was in or on your boat.
All ramps had full time rangers who made sure your boat qualifies before you are allowed to launch.
When you picked up a tag was put on your boat/trailer to allow future launching without further inspection. If you went to any other lake besides Lake Tahoe another inspection was required.
Also carbureted two-stroke engines are banned on Lake Tahoe.

How long a stay would be my question? I have pulled my boat thousands of miles but never 1800 one way. I'd love to take my boat to the Keys, but I would have to stay down there at least a month to justify the headache. Hell, it's a pain in the arse just towing it and keeping it in PCB for a week in the summer. Every year I lean more towards the juice ain't worth the squeeze.

We towed my buddy’s 28’ center console about 1000 miles to the keys with a 1/2 ton. There was lots of prep for potential issues but luckily didn’t have any trouble. Took over 20 hours. 6 days later we hauled it back. Cost was about break even vs. renting a boat there. Was not fun especially with undersized tow vehicle. Even with proper planning and everything going perfect… next time I’ll fly and rent a boat.

I have towed my bass boat from Georgia to west Texas (Lake Amistad) twice and back with no issues at all.
Make sure you have everything you need to change a flat and check your bearings/tire wear everytime you stop for fuel

Almost every state west of Texas has an invasive species check at major state line crossings and they will show up at boat ramps...it is a royal pain in the arse, especially meeting them at a ramp at 5 AM. At most of the interstate inspections station they will pressure wash your boat for your for free though so that ain't bad. I have been checked going into Idaho from Washington when it was 5 below zero. Why on earth they do it when its that cold I have no idea and neither do the people doing it other than they are told to.
I have never trailered a boat to California so I can't speak to that but I can't imagine they are not assholes about invasive species inspections.

invasive species inspections.
My boat is a canoe that's either on a rack or the back of a pickup truck. And never once from up north in Canada to the middle of Mexico and left to east coasts has it been inspected or checked. And yep have always heard it's a concern.
Probably need to have it ready....How long does an inspection take and how invasive?

Take at least 2 replacement bearings and at least 1 spare. I have pulled a hunting rig to/from NE Arkansas 25+ times and the only issues I’ve ever had was 1 bearing went out on the way back the last trip back last year. Plan to burn twice as much fuel

Towed my poling skiff from Louisiana 8 hrs away to port st Joe in Florida. No issues but I have a new axle and all trailer maintenance was up to date. As long as your equipment is reliable it shouldn’t be an issue

Man, I'm hesitant to pull my boat to Destin and this guy's talking about crossing the continental divide.
