how does an AK "outlast" an AR

An AR is capable of shooting several different calibers. I’m only aware of two in an AK.
- wrong
An AK is stamped sheet metal
An AR is aluminum
- wrong
One is red blooded American gun, one is a commie gun.
- in terms of designers yes but beyond that not necessarily true.
Typically an AR is more accurate
Typically an AK is more reliable (runs no matter what).
- with standard sights, not true.
1k dollar AR vs 1k dollar AK the AK outlasts and maybe even performs better.
Are you going to expand on this or just spew shite?

Build, if not you will buy and the next week start buying replacment parts and end up spending twice as much or more.

7.62x39, 5.45x39, 5.56, 9mm and numerous other calibers are possible.
Not all AK's are stamped. Many are milled. Stamped is just fine and after considering how much stuff people throw onto ARs the weight is not all that different.
There are many videos on Youtube of AKs being shot accurately with standard sights out to 500 yards.
You can get an Arsenal SLR 107 for under a thousand dollars today and I would wager that it would perform as well in terms of accuracy and likely better in regards to reliability and longevity than any thousand dollar AR that you can choose. Using the iron sights that originally came on the gun and with whatever irons u choose for the AR.
Lastly you say that I am "spewing shite" when your take on the AR vs AK, based on what you provided was def more "shite-like", "shittish", or just plain "shitty."

I used to have an Arsenal SGL20. It was stamped and just fine out to 300 yards.
This was way before Magpul started making AK stuff so I'd buy the $30 Circle 10 "waffle" mags.
Crazy how AK's have gone up in price. A junk WASR 10 used to be $300.

Milled starts at what $1000? So yes, but typical AK and was designed to be stamped sheet metal

There are videos of .22lr as well.
I said "typically". That doesn't mean all. Typical AK is less accurate. But the typical AK is more reliable.

Funny you throw out the Arsenal SLR 107 which is stamped sheet metal to compare to a $1000 AR which will most likely be milled.
And I'd bet money my 6.5 grendel or 6.8 spc will be more accurate out to 600+ yds because I can put a scope on the ARs.

A build can be done without actually building. I've bought several complete uppers in 5.56, 7.62x39, and 308. An AR15 lower will work for 5.56, 223 wylde, 300 blackout, 7.62x39, 450 bushmaster, 350 legend and maybe another couple calibers. An AR10 lower will work for 308, 243, and 6.5 creedmore.
The best deal I've found on uppers is at Bear Creek Arsenal, bearcreekarsenal.com. for a complete lower receiver the best deal is Primary Arms, primaryarms.com. Their lowers come with a polished trigger group and is smoother than a regular trigger group. Palmetto State Armory has good lowers but you pay more for the ones with polished trigger groups. I just bought 2 complete uppers in 7.62x39 from Bear Creek Arsenal and 2 lowers from Primary Arms. With shipping each complete rifle cost $323. Took them to the range and had 1 inch groups at 100 yards. Buying this way costs way less than buying complete rifle from store or online. I'd be happy to answer any questions anyone has about the guns I've put together.
The complete upper can be sent to your home but the lowers have to go through an FFL dealer.

If you choose to go with an off the shelf gun the Ruger AR 556 and S&W MP15 cant be beat for the price which is around $479 online shipped to an FFL dealer.

Laughable. Go to a CMP service rifle competition and see the type of accuracy and precision an AR gets with iron sights. The AR peep sight arrangement is far and away superior to the AK's blade-and-groove for accuracy at any range.
As for operational durability there is nothing in the AK that puts it above the AR. The high-stress areas are entirely contained within the upper receiver between hardened steel surfaces that don't suffer the deformation and peening effects an AK can suffer from. Between properly made mil-spec rifles there's absolutely no reason either rifle can't see out a ten- or fifteen-thousand round service life. The difference will be that the AR will maintain combat accuracy while the nature of wear parts in the AK will induce more erractic behavior.

Colt 6920.
Sadly Colt is a shell of what it used to be in terms of quality. Their QC sucks and for the price of a 6920 you can get much more quality of a gun.

They have also announced that they will no longer be selling to civilians.
Posted on 9/18/19 at 6:14 pm to Korin
Temporarily because their product just can’t compete.
They have a product that they price like it’s a premium product with the quality of a lower to mid priced product.
I’m kinda kidding with you on that but not completely.

They got behind on some government contracts.
Ignorance noted.

You should just get this for now. Only $700 and it checks all the boxes on the M4 chart plus it has the superior mid-length gas system.

I just bought a Ruger 556 myself.

I love the 1/8 barrel on it. Hope your gas key is staked though, among other issues.

maybe another couple calibers
6.5 Grendel and 224 Valkyrie, probably some others. Nothing is more versatile than the AR platform.
