minus that horrendous console, that would be a pretty sweet boat for ONO

Saw one without the console and converted to tiller and it was pretty sweet.

They're legit, I've learned that the majority of good trout around the island are impossible to get to in most boats without spooking them though (at night). Lots of little inlets and nooks/crannies where you damn near need a kayak

No, not like this. I'm talking a little windy chop will feel like a guy is throwing 5 gallon buckets of water in your face

But the same thing that made it wet, made it a dream for fishing in the wind. Super low sides.

Banshees are also very wet boats, even by skiff standards.

There's just no way for one skiff to handle everything. I keep trying to figure out what boat I want to get next, and I've come to realize I want to get a 16ft beater flats skiff with a tiller and large front deck as a travel/ beater skiff. Then get a 22 or 24 ft bay boat to handle bay fishing and light offshore. It's the only option IMO.
Unless you are in south florida or fishing marshes all the time, it's hard to find one boat you can use most days.

This is so true. I have the big bay boat now, but seriously want a Spear Boat, preferably the Glades X. Keep spending money on kids and vacations though, it may never happen.

If I wasn't restoring a different boat at the moment, I would take you up on it. Really appreciate it though

18-20 foot panga marine is what Im saving up for. Best crossover boat I have found but there isn't a whole lot in secondary market because owners hold on to them.
That or 17/18.5 Maverick MasterAngler.

Hell's Bay and the ownership are great friends. When you are ready, I'd be willing to bet I can ask for help in finding a great used Skate.

I like the Lake and Bays but I don't like their price lol!

Sounds like ur in the same boat I was, no pun intended. I wanted something that first off, could fish 3 people easily, handle crossing open water, shallow, quiet, and of course look fine in the water.....
Searched the interwebs for over a year when I found a good price on a 18 sterling flats. Great boat for reds specks, bass etc.
It's a wet boat, but I just installed spray rails which helped alot!!!

What year is yours? I have an opportunity to buy an 04 on the cheap. Looks like shite but maybe with a little TLC it will be okay

How shallow are you trying to get? I have a 22ft skeeter that will float in 11 inches of water, sometimes less depending on the bottom. I can then cross a nasty bay and lay the trim tabs down and it handles fine

It's an O4 or 06. I can't remember. It's the perfect all around boat for me. The layout is great and more storage than u can use.
Mine was a fixer upper as well but then you don't feel so bad when someone drops or scratches something in your boat.
Here a top pic of my boat to see the layout.
