Well I took a boaters safety course when I was 10. I think I am more qualified than most operating a boat.

Borrow an empty trailer and go practice at wallyworld. Just back it down the lane and in to a parking spot.

Baton Rouge. River Road by the interstate overpass. Black top parking lot next to a trucking facility. Good place to practice.

I havent had to do it ain about 5 years. Last tiem I did it I had no problem but it wasn't at a packed launch. Our boat is kept on a lift so we never have to launch it.

My fishing partner is a over thinker. He stews on plans and shite for like a week before and must follow said plans to the tee when the day finally comes. I'm thinking he'd die if ever a plan were to be changed for whatever reason.

Damn this sounds like my dad. Calls me 50 times the week before we go asking me what to bring. He's been fishing since he was 5 and it is still like the first time.

Most of my fishing partners read the OB, so I won't comment on them. But if you fish with me, feel free to comment on my boatside manner. If you do, it will open the door...

Sad but probably true.

How about when your buddy working the trolling motor breaks off and decides to re tie and the boat just drifts away until he's done. I'm gonna catch a lunker in 20' of water using a brush hog. :

I do this but only because NO ONE else in the boat is competent enough to run the trolling motor.

Hold on now. You know I can handle up on the trolling motor when necessary. You take captaining your vessel to the nth degree. Now apd76 on the other hand couldn't handle that shite much less tying the boat up to the dock.

This is right on par with my buddy who will fish an area up front, while on the TM, and then just decide to haul arse through a section of trees/brush w/o regard to me trying to work a bite from the back. That shite pisses me off....

Or evil twin....the same guy will back your arse into a wasp nest...I got his arse back years ago, fishing the Basin during sacalait spawn, put his butt in a button willow with a big ol moc coiled up and while he was trying to get his beetle spin out, casually mentioned a snake nearby...bastard damn near Jesus walked to the levee..

My wife backs the boat. Zero issues.

My sister is the best I've ever seen at backing a boat. It's unreal.

I wish mine would back the boat in. She's tried twice and both times got all flustered. She won't even consider it now.

Guy I work with told his wife to hold the rope while he launched the boat. After launching he went to park. Came back and there she was standing on the bow of the boat still holding the rope on the other side of the canal

When me and my buddy fish together, both of us are on the front deck shoulder to shoulder. No need to back end someone, that shite sucks.
