Caught this little guy behind the house. First time catching one in the water behind the house. Is it a stripped bass? He was released to fight another day.

Barr fish. Has broken lines. Looks like a white bass but that has solid lines. white bass is similar to striped bass so you’re close

We call that a hybrid, has broken lines.

When handling those watch their gill plates, they will cut you quickly and deep.

It is a white strip bass, but us old folks here in Louisiana call the Bar fish. Kick in the butt to catch them on lite tackle when they are schooling. One can load the boat down with them fast, but they are shitty eating. A lot of red meat.

Used to catch those 3 at a time in Oklahoma at the spillway in sight of Will Rogers home site at Lake Oologah.
Tie white jigs about 12-18 inches apart, or clip swivel leaders with jigs, and you can have fun. Those crazy fish when hooked in multiples can end up each going a different direction and cancelling out the drag making it simply casting and reeling in.
Also was great fun for kids learning how to fish. They love goldfish more than silver minnows and kids with a stick bobber and bait hooked through the lips go nuts at the fight and fast action schools of "Sand Bass" provide.
When the dogwoods bloom and the wind is outta the South, grab a pole and start the fun! Wind outta the North? Keep the boat dry, ain't no fish biting.

Barfish is a generic term like the word bream. People call white bass and yellow bass barfish depending on where you are at in the state
Looks like a small white bass to me.

When they are schooling you can catch them 4 at a time on a umbrella rig. Pretty much the only use I have found for an umbrella rig.

Yellow bass have darker lines and it's mouth wouldn't be that big either
Whites can have broken lines
Not a hybrid, not a yellow bass
100% white bass

Wut
Crappie = Sacalait, sometimes called "white perch" but it's actually not correct.
OP's pic is nothing close to a white crappie.

bar fish or possibly a small hybrid.
they are good to eat if you cut out that red strip. Folks around here call that the blood line.
