I’m looking at upgrading for the first time in 28 years. I’ve been shooting a Remington 30-06 Semi-Auto. Had my eye on the Fierce Carbon Fiber 308. Anyone here have one or heard of any goods or bads on the weapon?

Lots of reviews on the internet. I've never seen one in person but I group them in with the now large group of boutique rifle manufactures out there. For what they cost, I'd rather buy a used rem 700 and get it built by someone reputable.

What’s the one you’re cost that you’re looking at?

I looked at them a few years ago and I remember them having a couple thousands dollar gap range in price.

Seem to be a lot of mixed reviews on them from when I’ve read on message boards, never actually handled a Fierce gun. For the price of one or close to it you could build a custom gun that’s easier for prefits if you wanted to swap calibers/barrels later.

Can even get a built Sig Cross with a barrel chambered by Straight Jacket (they make prefits) while they are running their sale

Sig Cross Sale

Or step up to their Packlite rifle for 3999.

I got a Fierce Rogue 300 win mag this year. It has taken 2 shots. One to verify on target and one to drop a red stag.

APR prices are getting up there. I’ve got 3 of them and enjoy them but at this point I’d probably save a thousand or two and give Fierce or something similar a shot.

I have the CT edge in 7mm. Rifle is an absolute shooter. I shoot .3 MOA with factory Barnes. Have taken two elk and a white tail. The carbon fiber barrel allows for repeated shots without heat interference. Fierce also tends to put more aggressive rifling in their barrels to allow for high bc bullets. The edge uses a ski clone action so no experience with their 700 action but I have had no issues with feeding any plan to get my wife the mini rogue. I like mine enough I’m about to buy another.

If you have a solid rest or vice, you only need 1 shot to sight in your rifle and find the zero. I encourage shooting a 3 or 5 shot group to make sure the rifle is consistent and the shooter has confidence.

Yea moa movement is pretty precise now days. shoot once measure, adjust scope accordingly and then shoot a 3 shot group at 100 to verify.

Side note i sighted 3 in this weekend at a home range. 2 shots on all 3. its that exact with modern scopes
