Ever shot, killed and then caught the bird before it hit the ground?

Dove shooting in Argentina it's possible, I think I did it once or twice, but that's it.

No but I did have a fricking goose land literally a foot away from me after being shot. Wasn't dead. Just looked up at me

Yep, wood duck. Avoyelles parish.

Did it with a teal that flew straight at me, then flared up. Bone sticking out cut my hand

Shot a blackbird while dove hunting. It went straight for my buddy about 20 yds away. He had to hit the deck

we had a speck fall in the blind with us several years back...we all bailed out before it hit the deck, though. I would like to have some video footage of that chaos!

Yeah cool, but pretty dumb move unless wearing heavy gloves to prevent a bone from doing that

No, but I have caught a snake out the air. A tree was sticking out from the levee with a racer stretched out. Couldn't get to him, so I told my friend to just hook him with the snake stick and fling him up in the air. I was kinda joking, but he flipped that sucker 10 feet in the air. I just stuck my hand out and turned my head. Ended up catching it by the head and tail (like in a loop) in one hand. Couldn't do it again if I tried 100 times and wouldn't believe it if I hadn't been there.

Tried catching a teal once that I had dish ragged. Split my finger wide open. Wasn't the brightest idea in the world but I was 16 so I could have been considered brain dead...

I have seen 2 or 3 birds fall into the pit with 1 being catchable. Actually had to duck on the 1.
