Your text reminded me of when my son, MSWebfoot was born. I went in to visit his Mom (my first wife) the next morning and she was crying. I asked what was wrong and she said there was something wrong with the baby. My heart fell, dreading to hear what was to come.
I ask what happened and she says his legs are too short. Having seen the kid I knew all was well so I told her we would talk to the Doc.
He walks in sees her crying looks at her and asks what' s the problem. She says the baby legs are too short! And starts bawling. Relieved, he looks me up and down from my head to toes, thinks about my towering 5'6" frame and asks her:
"And what did you expect?"

EJW is the late poster El Josey Wales. Jason Deal was a lifelong friend and loved one for many here and a mere internet acquaintance for others here. He tragically list his battle with oral cancer in Nov.
