i watched 2 episodes and its already a played out he-man and she-man mentality between the two. That dude went rambo vietnam bizerk on the hog. Its kind of dumb they act like they are on the verge of death "my dehydration headache is kicking in" and then like they are 1 mile from I-10 or some shite. I like learning the various things but i wish they were stranded for longer periods of time, not like 3 days.

The new guy is annoying as hell. Survivorman is still king of the shows, IMO. I think matching Cody with Stroud could be interesting to watch.

And this is why Les Stroud is and will always be my favorite. Learned something valuable in every episode.

He also had a few other shows. Moved to a spot in Canada and lives 100% off grid with his family.

i realized i didnt like the new DS when my wife got all into the drama between hoorah and cody. plus the fact that i havnt learned shite from the show this season. WHERE'S LES

Yeah, I tried to watch one and it was awful. You can get some meaningful information I suppose if you wade through an incredible amount of staged bullshite.

All in all...it's a lot of fabricated stuff but at least it has some valued info mixed in here and there. Unlike 95% of the other horse shite that is on evening TV....bachelor, survivor, nashville, idol, xfactor, *insert your own shite show*..etc.

She-Man said the ancestors or whatever used to do it, toughens his feet, makes you more aware of your environment and he saves lots of money in socks.
