I just got it and connected for the first time. Everything is ok internet wise but how did you go about running your cable from the router to your outdoor satellite portion? I wasn't really planning on mounting it to the roof, maybe the top of a fence post that doesnt have any trees around for clear coverage but im not drilling a hole in the side of my house to run an ethernet cable and I dont really want to have it hanging out of a door jam or windows. Whats was your solution?

I have a roof peak mount and run the cable int9 the soffit and into the attic. I used that gray pvc conduit for the cable run.

Mine is mounted on a fence post. Conduit running down the post and underground to my house. There was an old phone line ran through the exterior wall, so I pulled that out and used the same hole for the Starlink cable.

Going on 3 years now, I’ve had 10/10 service. It’s fast enough for everyday household usage and reliable. Not like satellite TV of old.

I installed a lightning arrestor between the Starlink router and the rest of my network. Don’t want to fry security cameras and network switches with the big antenna sitting in the back yard.

But he has the mini system on his boat and it has been fantastic. Every time we go offshore, we have Internet and connectivity with zero issues.

Same. I use ours on the boat all the time. Powered by 2 M18 batteries and lives in a hard case until needed. We love it.

I have starlink at my deer camp and it’s fantastic. Never any issues.

I ran my cable through the wall and painted/siliconed around it.

Looks fine to me. But it’s my deer camp, not my primary home

I like hearing that. It’s on my list of things to-do before end of year. Currently voyagers are complaining on roaming issues. It’s not coverage but subscription cost.

I've had it at the camp 2 1/2 years. It's been flawless.

I dont know the starlink packages but I know Chad has the more expensive program. I think he started with the less expensive plan and had some issues.

I can ask him about it if you need some info

I follow a few full time sailors that complain on the terms. My plans are Bahamas 27 doing trips home every 3 weeks. I’ve had nothing but superb cell service W/ATT worldwide at several islands but cell vs internet and want vs need.
Please do ask, some of the plans get expensive. I know I can turn it on and off so that can tip the scale for me.

Tryin’ to keep it only partially submerged….

I have a barndominium . No soffit. I think im just going to do an outdoor nema box and put the router in there and bury the line to the fence post.

Mounted it on the back corner and went straight through the wall there and into the attic where the router is plugged in. I also have the starlink mini I take on hunting trips. $50/month for unlimited data but you can turn the subscription off when you aren’t using it

My mother had a hole in her double-brick exterior wall that ATT drilled for prior service. I had to enlarge it to fit the bigger Starlink line, and it was a bitch even with a masonry bit. Finally got that done and snaked it through using a stiff wire as a lead. Mounted the Starlink dish on a 10 foot pole that I put beside the house and strapped to the facia board.

Could have gone through the ceiling, following the path of a DirecTv line, but it would have required going deep into the attic, and chose to drill rather than do that.

I have it at my hunting camp. For the time being we have just been sitting it in yard when we get there and picking up when we leave. I have a post in the ground where our Hughesnet (such trash) dish was mounted. I am buying the adapter to mount it to that pole. Haven’t decided if will leave up or continue to take down. Have plenty of trees around and wouldn’t want it destroyed by a falling limb. Happened to dish satellite plenty of times.

I have mine mounted to the corner of my garage and the modem on a shelf in the garage. I got an extender to place in my house which provides signal for all rooms

I think a slick way to mount something to an outside wall is the use a floor flange and then screw a conduit 90 into it. I drilled a hole in the middle and the wire ran through the hole and up to the end with no visible wire outside showing. I didn't mount starlink but I did install a couple of outside lights this way.

I like that Idea Barny. I'm about to mount mine on a pole at the camp and was going to cement a square socket w/holes that accepts a 2" square galv post w/holes and slip a bolt in the socket thru the post, Just thinking it'd be easy to take down for any reason........dammit now I have consider your way

We have Starlink. It is on an old tower next to the shop roughly 15’ off the ground and 250 yards from my house.

We ran fiber optics underground for about 300 yards and went into the house that way.
