We found out today that my dad has squamous cell lung cancer. It has spread to his bronchial tubes. How does it react to treatment of radiation and chemo?

I definitely appreciate any prayers

Also, if you smoke please stop

Prays sent. My brother had his left lung removed last year at this time. They had to scope him last week due to spots growing in his right lung. Still waiting to hear from the doctors.

He was not a smoker. Did floor work all his life.

He was a smoker?

And do they have it staged yet? I'd have to look it up but I think spread to bronchial tree is stage III.

From what I've read it seems like stage 2

Yes, smoked until I made him stop when my daughter was born.

Well if he's stage II he's lucky. Those generally respond better to chemo.

Is he not a surgical candidate or do they need to shrink the tumor first.

Unfortunately surgery isn't an option according to his Dr. He says that because it's in the bronchial tubes.
