Do y’all shoot mechanical broadheads more than once?
Went and picked up the cape to take taxidermist and processor was able to recover my grim reaper in tact. Would you shoot it again?

Test the blades. If they’re sharp and straight and function, I’d shoot it.

Retire it, or mark it as a "yote" head.

I replace the blades. The ones I use have a steel ferule. I doubt I would reuse one with an aluminum ferule.

Took it apart to clean it, one of blades are bent and the very top of the head has a knick I could probably file out. Just put this broad head on two days before I shot it. Oh well it was worth it.

That's the key. I carry a small game point and a muzzy for pigs.

How many deer do you shoot a year? I'd just buy a new one.

I don't. I buy new ones. You can change the blades, but I shoot less than 3 a year so I usually buy a new pack every year. Cheap insurance in case a monster comes out. I don't want to blame a dull broadhead if something were to happen.

Depends on how many shots you take each season. If you are shooting deer ever weekend, then sure. Maybe you can salvage it if the blades are still sharp. But if you are like us baws and only let it fly every so often, I always want my best and sharpest headed toward that animal.

I shoot Rage and never shoot the same blades twice. Save the ferrel but I always change the blades out.

You work your arse off to get into a chance to shoot a deer with your bow, why would you not ensure that your setup is as deadly as possible?
