Went to rockafeler this am, saw zero birds there or on drive down from LC. Reports were spotty from Guydean up to Fenton area. Number of hunters from burns to gc was down from past years.

Didn't even see one in coastal MS. On the plus side, also didn't see a single mosquito...

Right at daylight had a front line move that north wind to 35 out the south.

Nothing but whistlers.

What part of the parish? My weekend and the next few days are blown. Got to try if it's even just to see some birds for this old man.

I killed a limit in the Marksville red river area on a day lease a rice farmer let me hunt out of, I definitely had to pay a arm and a leg but he said the guy who usually hunts it was ok with me hunting his blind.

Didn’t have any water so me and little Cat didn’t go. Didn’t see any teal Friday when we went to check. Saw some pintails and woodies.

Not the best opening weekend ever but it sure beats not killing anything at all

Same for me. 5 on Saturday (3 shooting ops), 4 on Sunday (2 shooting ops). Better shooting we get another 1-3 birds per day but not much, just very few in the area. St Bernard parish
