Saturday we caught 26 trout and 4 reds. Probably had to throw back 10 reds that were 14 inches.

Yesterday we went offshore.

The inshore fishin was tough, we had to work for em. No water in the marsh at all. The offshore however, was not.

Nice. I wished I lived closer to saltwater. Few trips a yr to stock my freezer is all I get.

Company just bought a place there, they should have the hoist complete and skin on shed in a week or so. How was the run to the pass, no wake zone wise?

Interested in this as well, we have a company camp in Galliano that I never use. But, from the looks of the map it isn't a bad run to the islands from Leeville. I could just trailer boat to Leeville.

Where do you fish out of (general area)? Curious about the feds. Glad they didn't frick with you guys. Makes me feel a bit better.

Also, what type of vessel were the CGs in?

Not bad at all. We were at the pass pretty quick.

Inshore fishin has been tough there the past couple weeks though. According to terry at Terry's bait shop, our 26 trout down there was as good as they've caught in 2 weeks. There just hasn't been any water in the marsh. We hammered the rat reds. Like I said in the OP, we probably had to throw back 10-15 14 inchers. For 2 people it was a decent haul.

Offshore the fishin was as good as can be. We had a fish damn near every drop. Hell I even caught a big arse bull red out there.

Gotta love it when you're doing less fishing and more harvesting.

The federalies were in those port security type rigs.
