Has anyone bought spinning reels for crappie from Temu or Alibaba that were of good quality? Looking to upgrade my rods from the standard crappie reels to casting ones.
Edit: wanting to start using braid line

I had a South Bend UL spinning reel for many years that was my all time favorite reel.
I didn’t get it from Temu or Alibaba- it was a Big Lots special

Nothing is ever upgraded from Temu or Alibaba. Kind of kidding but kind of not.
.But I get it, you want upgrade from the 'fly-rod' style of reel on long crappie poles.
I would say that you'll be fine with the cheapest spinning reels as long as they don't get wet.
I always black friday purchase rod-reel combos on the cheap from Dicks Sporting goods, to where they are 10 to 15 dollars for Diawa Samurai combos. I do this since I have kids that under 10 years old and could not give a dang about the care of any rod reel. I keep them like russian reenforcements to the Ukraine border.
Water gets in them and its not even worth opening them and lubing the plastic gears.
If you have 20 or more crappie rods and kids, i'd go bulk-cheap reels. like you've already seen here. caution TEMU link.
and if you trust amazon better, here is their china knock off.

I can't tell if you want casting or spinning. In any event, I use Daiwa. They have the $100 and under category figured out.

Just go buy a 1000 series Sienna. They are cheap and will get the job done.

There are some cheap Kastking reels on Amazon. I have a couple that have been fine for me. I would check those out if looking for a budget reel.

Here you go, 20.00 each for a case of 18, or 25.00 each for a 3 pack. And yes Sheltons is legit. I live an hour away. Or you can always call them and see what else they have. Always have bargain stuff.

I can vouch for Shelton’s. It is a dangerous place to go into. I bought 3 Lew’s spinning reels and a Daiwa Tatula not too long ago. I didn’t realize they have a website. Damn it.
They also have that same Lew’s 200 in a combo for $100/3, or $25 more than for just the reel. And that is a decent deal on the Lew’s mach 1 (either 100 or 200) for $35. And they have a 9 pack of Walmart ozark trail spinning reels for $90. Probably not the best, but $9 each.

Bruh, for realz.
Anyting you buy off the clearance shelf from BP, Cabelas, Academy, or WM will be better than anything off of Temu. The first time those things get wet they're gonna be done for.

I bought 3 BassPro rods with reels last year. The reels have plastic spools and scratch easily. The braid line snags on the scratches and wont cast. Replacing with new cnc aluminum reels.
Ive a 12 in mono leader line at the end of the braid as well.
Ordered 4 newer reels off of Amazon. Over 3,700 sold with 4.3 star rating. These should work for me. Thanks to everyone for all the help and advice.
