Well,

That escalated quickly.

I've heard similar things about bogus charges and bad work at Coy's. With the amount of ford drivers here, that's plenty of potential business

Nahhhh

I would defend myself if I was coy though. Like I said, tons of potential business here with the number if ford drivers.

I don't know that I'd take on that kind of liability and cost without Written approval. Then there would be no question in this case or in the future.

Airline is the diesel shop. They aren't open on weekends though

I don't think I have to tell a grown man how to run his business properly, and I completely disagree with how it was handled last night. I was ready to let it die and have that be it. There was no need for the entire third page IMHO. I certainly don't like doing that to a small business owner, but he made his bed

The location on Airline mainly deals with diesels although Im pretty sure they both work on trucks. The one on Airline is almost directly across from Southpoint VW and Paretti Jaguar. Thats the location Ive always dealt with.

John and hammer, thanks. I'm trying to decide if I am going to wait for my warranty to expire before deleting. With all the hpfp problems, I want all the warranty I can get. However, they aren't covering them anyways.

I'd wait. That was a cab-off job on my truck, and IIRC, just the part was something like $600 at Ford cost. Retail would probably be around $1100 knowing Ford's pricing strategy. I did high pressure and all injectors at the same time

It's $1200 or so just to replace it. If it grenades, it's $8500+ to repair.

We have a diesel specialist now, what's your opinion?

Have you checked the flow coming out? Is it consistently missing or something?

I'm not a diesel mechanic, so I don't know too much about them. Mine was only putting out like 6000psi and was dying when it would go barely past idle, so I replaced it.

I actually got a bad pump from my Ford parts guy here, and Tri-care called me up about it. They brought the bad one to ford, swapped it out for a new one, and only charged me half to put the second one in. My Ford guy refunded me the money, so the second install wasn't that expensive. It is nice to have a buddy who is a parts manager when your truck is a giant POS

I haven't had it tested but I've read too many stories about them grenading for no reason. Ford WILL find a reason to deny the warranty, even if there is no reason.

Has me scared to do anything but they won't warranty it stock anyways.

What diesel would you recommend? The Duramax uses the same hpfp and the Aisin is a joke.
