I hate this post and the OP so fricking much.

the lack of details is causing me to spiral.

where do you live?
what breed of dogs do you have?
how many dogs have been killed? and what breeds were they?
how many dog do you have, now?

If you have so many dogs, why not just get a breed that will protect the property from coyotes?

Maybe you should get a donkey.

There was this farm in north Georgia that I’d take my kids to. They had all kinds of animals for the kids to pet like sheep, goats, etc. they had 2 massive dogs that were father and son. One worked the night shift and the other the day shift. The owner told me they’d been losing sheep to coyotes. Sweet dogs. But the daddy Anatolian finally caught and killed the leader of the pack and the pack never came back.

That's what I do. I have donkeys, not Pyrenees. Donkeys are less work and some really cool animals.

My two cats can go jump up on the backs of my donkeys and nap all afternoon, but if my dog gets close to the donkeys, they get riled up and would attack my dog much less a coyote.

Had a terrible problem with coyotes 20 years ago. Got a Great Pyrenees and have kept at least one of them since then. Never see or hear coyotes anymore.

Anatolian Shepherd.

The real answer. My kangal used to lay in the tall grass and whine like an injured puppy.

Coyotes would get into the main fence, they never got out.

He would routinely grab them across the middle of the back...crunch.

Real anatolians look like large dogs, they look at all other large dogs like prey. Only dogs I've ever had where you can look in their eyes and it's like looking into the eyes of a wolf. There's no expressed aggression.

Our big male used to lay at my feet at zippys. He'd let pups and kids crawl all over him. But almost every adult dog that would be brought in all started barking or would not budge from their owner's side. He'd usually look over, decide if they warranted attention, and go right back to letting kids feed him chips
