I cracked a lens and was wondering if anyone knew what their turnaround time has been lately? Also, this is going to be out of warranty, does anyone know the cost to replace one lens?

I submitted a claim for my 580G last Thursday. My rubber pieces were all falling off. They just sent me an email telling me to pic out a free new pair. Better than I was expecting.

Might find another brand that makes lenses for your model. This happened to me and I just bought lens from Revant, I believe. If not you are looks at several weeks probably

What model were they? I had the same thing happen for a pair that was discontinued. The discontinued pair had regular cheap lens. They let me swap them out for a new pair of my choice with 580G lens. Have always been happy with their customer service.

I recently sent back 2 pair. From submitting the online warranty form, to getting a new pair, it was about 2-2.5 weeks.

you have to go through the new claim site stuff uploading pictures and all that? Last time I had to have a pair fixed was back in like 2016 and the ones they sent me that time free need replacing now with the rubber nose piece and temple pieces peeling off. Just filled out all that for these saltbreaks and submitted with pics a minute ago but I did not have the model number off the arm as it had worn off many years ago so looked up the item number on their website and just put that in. No clue if it will all be accepted or not as I had no receipt to submit being it was from 5+ years ago and they sent me that pair as a replacement for my old manowars anyways so never had one to begin with.

Interested to see what they say...
I have a pair of Corbina’s that had the nose piece fall off and the ear plastic peeling. That pair was a replacement for an older man o war, so no receipt either.
I just have to find where I stashed the broken ones!

I have a pair of rimless Cayan model bought in May 2014 (still have receipt), and the lenses have split where the nose-piece attaches. They have been treated as gently as possible.

Any chance Costa will fix/repair for free or cheap? I sent some Maui Jims back for something similar, and the repair cost was damned near as much as a new pair.

Twenty 49 - I would say your chances are good. Go online and upload pics with the information as you described. Bump thread later and let us know how it goes. Good luck!!!!!

I got denied for a cracked lens last summer. Email said that cracked lenses are no longer considered a warranty repair. I will probably not buy Costa’s any longer. I ended up buying the plastic Revent lenses because the frames were brand new. But they are nowhere near the quality of the glass 580’s.

Mine were free.

Total 180 degrees from Maui Jim. Their warranty was horrible.

Won’t ever give them 300 dollars again.

They shot down a cracked lens request for me about 3 weeks ago on some Brine glasses. Also said the replacement parts were unavailable. Sent me a 30% off coupon and even with the coupon I found a replacement pair for less elsewhere.

See this thread from a few weeks ago

A lot of people, including myself, recently sent in for repairs from the rubber pieces deteriorating and got a new pair. Just do the online claim (with pics) as mentioned above.

I'm not necessarily concerned about it being covered under warranty, this was 100% negligence on my part. The comment about them not having the repair parts is concerning. Really didn't want to spend the money for a new pair.

Cracked lense is not covered.

Frames and defects on lenses are under warranty..

It will cost 127 to replace lense.
