That’ll work out well for you.

Oh wait, you very likely wouldn’t have the balls to do that. Again, everybody thinks they’re ready to shoot somebody until it’s time to shoot somebody.

Considering you were reaching for a gun, it should work out just fine for me.

Tell you what, don't drive into my front yard and start shite and we won't have to find out who's got the biggest balls.

Fwiw, as far as the vid goes, I could find it totally believable the dude who got knocked actually did catch them with something they knew they were going to get in trouble for and wanted him to GTFO outta there before the cops showed up so they could hide whatever it was. But the vid only showed what we saw.

Thousands of people are shot in the US every year. You’re making a bold and dumb assumption that nobody would shoot you.

I agree it’s bold, but thousands of people being shot is a small number compared to the amount of gun owners.

Eh. It’s good hunting land in MS. 50:50 chance a coonass owns the land behind their trailer. And they fit right in.

If you come out of your house with a gun in your hands and something goes down we'll see ya in 10-20 years.

Mississippi is a pure stand your ground state, if they would have shot and killed him they would be ok. Of course, if he shot back or grabbed a gun from his truck he could also use stand your ground as it also applies to trucks, boats tractors etc.

So legally they could have just shot it out like in the old west, so really they are pussies

Doubt this was about a deer, but no doubt it's probably Yazoo county...

I had a case where a guy in Mississippi shot his old buddy over a gate on s road. They were both armed on tractors and when my guy lowered his gun he shot. He also shot him in the back twice, which I thought was beyond stand your ground but DA wouldn’t touch it.

No witnesses, and I suspect his first damn shot was in the back as he was walking back to his tractor but dead men tell no tales. They settled the civil case so we will never know

My grandfather taught me early in my life to never let another man come on your place a start shite and get away with it. Old man with the walking tall timber did the right thing. The skinny punk with the shovel was a pussy.

And a grand jury would throw it out.

EF Hutton,

The redneck came over to those people’s domicile and was the aggressor. The walking tall old man and shovel boy defended themselves and their families from the crazed redneck. Then the crazed redneck destroyed property. Crazed redneck f’d around and found out.

If I’m on the jury for aggravated assault of the two defenders of the family domicile, that’s a hard “not guilty” from me.

So, if someone comes in my driveway and starts screaming at me and points his finger at me I can shoot them. Somehow I don't think that will work out for you. From the video you can't see what caused the incident. I agree the guy should not have gone to the other peoples house, but greeting someone in your driveway with a gun and a shovel, swatting at his finger with the 2x4, then cracking him with a shovel for taking a step is a little over the top. He probably deserved a good but kicking but not getting hit with a 2x4 and a shovel. The guy with the gun was allowed to retreat and he came back with the shovel. The other guy did not charge the older man. I just don't see where it was justified using deadly force with an object or gun. If they were inside when he drove up and then came out with a gun and 2x4 I don't think that is stand your ground. If they were inside and the other guy tried to get in the house then all bets are off.

Maybe. In April of this year in Holmes County MS the adjacent county to the incident in this thread. A woman did just that. Shot and killed two women that came to her house talking shite.

HOLMES COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI — Two women, 33-year-old Karissa Job and 24-year-old Tiateiyuna Day, were fatally shot in Holmes County on Tuesday evening, according to Sheriff Willie March.

The incident occurred when Job and Day confronted another woman at her Emory Road residence off Highway 19. The homeowner allegedly shot both women during a Facebook live video, according to WAPT.

Sheriff March stated that the shooting could be considered self-defense, as the two women confronted the third woman at her home.

Investigators are currently reviewing the Facebook video to determine if charges will be filed or if the case will proceed to a grand jury.

At least they don’t have shovels usually at the public launch. But if that was their house and state has stand your ground laws they can use appropriate force to make the man leave after he refuses to do so. I think the old man wasn’t hitting very hard with that wood and the son was protecting a loved one and property.

I’m shocked that now women got in the middle of it. They tend to .

Clearly a case of redneck justice, but still you can't do that. Someone is already video taping the incident, so just tell the man to leave and wait on police if he doesn't. Luckily no one was killed, but several people - including innocent people - could have been over a stupid freaking deer. Based on what I saw, they should all lose their right to hunt because clearly they can not control their anger and allowing them to possess a gun is just a recipe for a disaster!
