What’s y’all’s go to solution for keeping your hands warm while driving a 4 wheeler? I’m sure I’ll get hate for it, but I’m big on Sitka gear. I’ve tried at least 5 different pairs of Sitka gloves, even thin “base layer” gloves over thicker gloves. I’ve also tried kuiu’s warmest gloves. No matter what I wear, I still have to stop, take my gloves off, and stick my hands in my pockets with my hot hands to warm them.
I’m looking at buying the handlebar mittens, but wanted to hear y’all’s suggestions first.

I haven’t found anything that works. Pretty much just chalk it up to “playing the game.” My gloves are Kuiu Axis Hybrid fwiw.

Big arse mittens is the only way I've found. The ones that look like the ones people in alaska wear around their necks. Gotta keep your core temp up as well.

I have a old pair of Burton ski gloves I wear that are great for blocking the wind and keeping your hands warm on the four wheeler or bass boat

Any decent snowmobile glove works great. Not sure of the brand I have but they were only about $40 through Amazon.

I’m good about this. Big vest guy. My buddy always gives me shite about wearing a vest, says they’re stupid because your arms just get cold. I’ve tried explaining that it keeps your core temp up while also offering more mobility while bow hunting. Beating a dead horse though lol

Looks like they’ve added wool to them since I got mine years ago. Should work for you.

I have the wooltimate pants and jacket and they are legit heavy but extremely warm.
I have tried on the wooltimate mittens but didn’t buy them due to not having any Antarctic hunts planned.
A liner wool glove inside the mittens with a hand warmer inside should melt marshmallows.

Kinco Hydroflector gloves. Around $10 at a hardware. Insulated and waterproof.

Did I mention around $10 bucks?

You talking about these? I like that they’re waterproof. Riding in on a foggy or misting morning, when that water seeps in, is the absolute worst.

Yes. They have an insulated layer. They are warm and work well for me on my 4 Wheeler rides. I have wore them in the stand as well.

I just realized that there are different ones. The ones I have are the Latex ones. That looks like the ones that were highlighted in the pic from the other poster. Hopefully you got these and not the nitrile. The nitrile do not look as warm too me.

Handlebar Mittons

We used something like this in Alaska. I don't recall the brand, but they worked well.

Promar ProGrip Insulated Glove

Look these up on the www or Amazon. $12-15ish, if I recall correctly. Rubber, insulated, waterproof, and cheap!

Great for cruising on the buggy/ATV, cold weather boating, etc. I use them often, especially when duck hunting later in the year (picking up decoys).
