I've had my propane tank rolling around in my truck the last day or two. Refuse to pay 25 bucks at Circle K. Any ideas of where I can get it cheaper?

I know St Gabriel hardware does refills but unsure of price. I really like that place though.

20# tanks get filled for about $10 at st gabe hardware...but I usually find a few more things I "need" while I'm there

Most a tractor Supply Stores refills are priced by the pound. Here in the Ham the one near me fills my std sized tank for $9, including tax.

I live a mile from the KOA in Denham. $18 to fill a completely empty tank, done by the lb. if tractor supply is $9, I’ll save up tanks and go there instead.

I live about five miles from the one in Hammond. I won’t be able to get there tomorrow but I have tree that needs refilling. I will post on Wednesday about the cost. The one I have been using is Circle A hardware in Albany. They also sell by the lb. it usually cost around 13 or 14 to fill a standard bottle for a pit. What I really like about them is they open the bleeder valve when they fill so you definitely get a full tank. They will make sure that your tank is not expired. If it is they won’t fill it. 12 years from original date unless there is the letter “E” at the end of the date. That means it has already been recertified once and then it’s good for 5 years

St. Gabriel Hardware. Used to cost me about 12 bucks when I lived in br. That was only a year ago so I imagine it hasn't changed much

THIS!
Was in a small hurry couple weeks back for a craw fish boil and decided to exchange instead of fill the tank. One boil later and the tank is damn near empty.

Do they fill or is it an exchange? I know their empty bottles are a pretty good deal.
